"It's been a while"

I've been waiting to see this second episode after your previous ones for quite a while. But it was worth the wait. Here's my review:

Graphics: I like the custom sprites, even if they aren't exactly perfect. But I know they took a while to make though. The movement was pretty well animated, But I really think you should try using the Vcam in future, since it really helps with panning and zooming. Trust me on this one.

Style: Although I do like the style. It does remind me a lot of SQFP, But you have added a bit of your own style to it, so it hasn't affected your score that much.

Sound: The sounds and music were very clear. But some of the music loops need a little work.

Violence: Not quite as much violence. But I can't exactly complain. The fight between Mario/Luigi/ Yoshi vs Bowser/Shadow/Mecha Shadow was awesome.

Interactivity: Buttons for the start and scene select. As well as space bar functionality for the dialogue. Gets a 5 because their isn't much interactivity in movies anyway.

Humour: Some funny bits thrown in for good measure. I liked the part when Mario dragged Luigi along with him. Very similar to parts in my SMBZ series. XD

Overall: A great use of sprites, original storyline and plenty of action. I just hope the next part is even better.

Awesome work on this! I remember seeing the early version. Good to see you finally finished it.
The fighting was intense. And those special effects were Awesome.
You deserved a higher award. But at least you got on the front page. =D

Great work with the sprite fight. I know i've still got much to learn when it comes to intense one on one fighting. XD
Although i've never watched Naruto in my life, and I don't know who the characters are or what they're capable of. It was still a pretty enjoyable flash.

Another great movie, Daniel. Believe it or not it was your first 2 episodes (amongst a few others) that inspired me to make Super Mario bros Z. (not ball Z).
I read the commentary too. Glad I motivated you to finish this. Although the stab at my humour wasn't necessary? =\ (ah well. Shit happens. XD).
I am still learning about what makes a good sprite fight so I study your animations every time for inspiration. Along with Sonics quest for power and Dragonball POTU.
But enough about my stuff. Onto yours. I really enjoy the 3D elements. I'm still trying to learn that stuff. But you definately pulled it off. And I do enjoy the kung fu moments plus the battle above the lava. Good stuff.
Now i'm motivated myself to get ep 6 of my series done. Hopefully I can make something half as good as this.

That's pretty good for a first submission. Just a shame the idea had been done before in Super Mario reloaded.
But keep on practicing and i'm sure you'll be giving us big name sprite animators a run for our money. =D

Thanks for including me in the story, As a "Top spriter" no less. (Although I don't think i'm as good as people say I am ^^; ).

"Pretty good"

This is a pretty good Mario/DBZ crossover. It seemed to focus more on the DBZ style.
The graphics were okay and the animation was pretty good.
My only complaints was the sound quality was poor, and it ended too quickly. But. it wasn't that bad.
Overall. I liked it. I would like to see a sequel one day.
